I can't run any version that comes on DVD ROM unless I buy a USB DVD ROM for my MacBook Air (2014). I'm really confused by all of the above! I can't play the original The Sims on my Mac without an emulator, because it was designed for Power PC Macs. On eBay there are games called "The Sims 3" and "The Sims 4" which are described as for Mac or for PC/Mac. I've also read something about The Sims from the company Origin. It's also by a company called Aspyr, but The Sims is by EA. I see that the Appstore has "The Sims 2: Super Collection", but this doesn't say that it includes the actual base game The Sims 2. I'd really like to play The Sims on my MacBook Air (2014) running macOS Big Sur. Years later I got a copy of "The Sims 2" also for Windows PCs, but I thought this was lacking the charm of the original game, so I didn't play it much. If you'd like more examples in that category, let me know, and I'll take a look.Which version of "The Sims" game for the Mac? Years ago I played the original version of the game "The Sims" on Windows PCs. Before you get started with playing with mods and custom content, youll need to start up your Sims 4 game and turn mods on (youll also need to do this after each patch that is released, as the game options default back to mods being turned off). I haven't done any comparison shopping since I don't know whether you want a more powerful system or a cheaper one, or something in between. By default, The Sims 4 has the option to disable mods in the game. Do you want to get the most powerful gaming setup $1,500 can buy? If so, something like this ($1,200 for the moment) would work well: MX450 and MX550: Cheapest ‘decent’ dedicated graphics. 3070RTX, 4060RTX & above: Completely overkill for the game unless you want to run 1440p with much higher framerates. If you find something you like, feel free to link it for a second That depends on your goal. 3060RTX, 4050RTX: Starts to be a little overkill for Sims 4 but useful for 1440p gaming. It's $712, but I figured it was worth mentioning. I saw this one too, with the same hardware except for a larger hard drive: A 256 GB hard drive is small but can still fit the entire game and 100 GB of cc, not that you'd want to wait that long for the game to load. 8 GB RAM is enough for Sims 4 even if 16 would be nice to have for multitasking, it's not strictly necessary. The processor is fine, as are all the processors that get paired with a 1650. The key here is the graphics card: an Nvidia 1650 can handle ultra settings, it's significantly faster than the previous generation's 1050, and it's significantly less expensive than the faster 1660 ti. As an example, this one should run all current packs together on ultra graphics settings, with some room to spare to account for more demanding custom content. There aren't a lot of gaming laptops available for $700 or less right now, but if you're patient, you should be able to find something that works. If you'd like more examples in that category, let me know, and I'll take a Sorry for the delay in responding. In fact, if you're sure Sims 4 is the only game you'll be playing, or at least the most demanding, then the second would be a better choice-you wouldn't see any benefit from the first one. Here you will find: 5M+ custom content such as Hair, Objects, Clothing, Rooms & more. with new content daily, mainly for The Sims 4. We use cookies to improve your experience, measure your visits, and show you personalized advertising.
